At Monteverde Extremo Park, you spend about three hours moving through more than 10 canopy rides, including a 1-kilometer hands-free Superman cable, a subway-style line, Mega Tarzan swing, and bungee jump. Expect cloud forest views, steep walks between platforms, professional guides, and weather that can change quickly.

“This is an amazing experience to do in Monteverde, totally recommend it. The superman zip lines are incredible and also the Tarzan swing, the other ones are more normal and similar to other that you may have done in the past, but only for the ones that I mentioned is worth it. One thing that I would recommend is to do it on a day that the weather is favourable, I did it with strong winds and a bit of rain and this was a bit uncomfortable, so take that in consideration, also another recommendation try to bring dark or old clothes since they can get a bit dirty.”

Guides provide equipment and safety support, while lunch, selected hotel transfers, lockers, and canyoning photos are included or available.

“Rappelling tips. Chacos or Keens work best. They have free lockers & wifi. Don't wear eyeglasses (unless you can't see without glasses). Wear the longest shorts you have. I would have preferred to wear capris or long pants that dry quickly. We all wore shorts, which worked okay, but pants would have been better. There's more uphill walking than I expected. It's manageable but a little exhausting. It's shady enough you don't have to obsess about sunscreen. I wouldn't bring an iphone/camera on the rappelling. They take lots of pics for a reasonable cost. Zipline tips- Wear capris or long pants. Shorts work okay, but not as well as pants.…”

“Pros: the ziplining experience itself was fun and safe, through a beautiful canopy led by knowledgeable and skilled guides. We saw a toucan! Cons: A whole host of things went wrong that could've been easily avoided with a little more organization. For starters, the start of the day was supposed to be at 8am, but we weren't picked up until 8:30am. It was a one-hour drive from our pickup spot in downtown La Fortuna to the main meetup point. Our driver was noticeably sick (coughing up phlegm and sneezing constantly), yet didn't bother to put a mask on or roll down the van windows. Secondly, we arrived at the meetup…”
