Walk Curi Cancha Reserve for about three hours with a certified local guide and a professional spotting scope. Guides such as Sergio, Christian, Chris, Oscar, and Steven have helped visitors find toucans, trogons, hummingbirds, coatis, monkeys, owls, agoutis, and other wildlife. The group is limited to six, but park entry and transportation cost extra.
“We saw a variety of birds and animals to include a bellbird, saberwing hummingbird, several toucans, trogons, a mama and baby owl, tarantula, coatis with their young and an agouti. We so enjoyed Chris’ vast knowledge of rainforest ecology and how it is so intertwined with geography and human behavior. We even met George Powell along the trail! We have learned so much about Costa Rica on all of our tours! Worthwhile!”
